Custom Domain Settings
Updated over 2 months ago

1. Go to Settings.

2. Go to the Domains section.

3. Number of added custom domains / total number of custom domains available for adding on your account. The number of domains available for adding depends on your plan restrictions.

4. The number of custom domains available for addition.

5. SSL request

Request an SSL certificate if necessary. How to get SSL.

6. Mark as default

When marked as primary (default), your domain will be used to generate tracker links and pixels for all subsequently created campaigns.

To apply a custom domain to a specific campaign:

1. Go to the Campaigns section and edit the campaign

2. Go to the Tracking section.

3. Select the custom domain as the campaign domain.

If you need to use a lander-to-offer URL to set up a landing page campaign or tracking pixels, replace them on your side after changing the campaign domain, as they now also use the new domain.

7. Edit

To check whether you have parked the domain correctly, use any resource to check the CNAME record or go to the domain editing and select Index type.

  • Selecting Default in the settings and going to the domain address, you will see the inscription The domain is successfully added.

  • Selecting 404 Page Not Found in the settings and going to the domain address, you will see there is a corresponding error on the page.

  • Selecting Campaign redirect, specify the appropriate campaign in the field that appears. Going to the domain address, you will be redirected to the specified campaign.

These settings are used to redirect random clicks to the address of your domain.

You can also get similar validation results when using proxying. PeerClick does not recommend using proxy, as does not guarantee the correct tracker work.

8. Delete

When deleting a custom domain, specify another custom or test domain in the window that appears. All campaigns associated with the domain being deleted will use the specified domain.

9. When adding a domain to an account, it is checked for a CNAME record.

If the domain is highlighted in red and marked as invalid when you add it, make sure you parked the domain correctly and added the full domain record if the Cname is for a subdomain (subdomain.domain.com).

Then click Verify DNS settings to revalidate the domain.
