Benefits of API integration with Mgid

The full API integration gives you the following benefits:

  • Synchronize costs.

  • Check the status of your campaigns.

  • Bid on widgets, teasers, sources.

  • Pause or resume campaigns, widgets, teasers, sources.

  • Create rules.

Enabling Mgid API Integration

To enable Mgid API integration:

1. Edit an existing campaign or create a campaign in PeerClick

  • If your PeerClick account has a campaign with the Mgid traffic channel:

1. Go to the Traffic channels section.

2. Select Mgid from the list of channels and click Edit.

3. In the traffic channel settings window that appears, click the Load from templates button.

4. In the list of templates, select the Mgid icon.

5. Click Save.

  • If your PeerClick account does not have a campaign with the Mgid traffic channel:

  1. Create an Mgid traffic channel using a template:

1.1. Go to the Traffic channel section.

1.2. Click the +New button.

1.3. In the list of templates, select the Mgid icon.

1.4. Click Create traffic channel.

2. Create a campaign in PeerClick using the Mgid traffic channel.

3. Copy the campaign link.

4. Go to your Mgid account and create a campaign. Instead of the offer link, use the PeerClick campaign link you copied earlier.

2. Add an integration

1. Go to the Integrations section.

2. Click on the Mgid icon.

! To get API ID and access token:

1. In MGID, go to the MY PROFILE view.

2. Go to the USERS tab.

3. Locate a user you want to grant API access to and click the Get a token button.

4. Copy both the API client ID and access token to any text editing tool.

3. Enter the Mgid API Client ID.

4. Enter the Mgid access token.

5. Enter any account name to mark your Mgid integration at the integration list.

6. Activate auto-matching if necessary.

7. Save the changes.

Auto-matching with Mgid

1. If an Mgid campaign uses teasers with different PeerClick links, this campaign will not be matched.

2. Campaigns are matched by postfix, and not by complete matching of parameters.

3. It is allowed when one PeerClick campaign link is used in 2 or more Mgid campaigns.
